Early on in the pandemic, I was spinning plain merino wool. I made hundreds of yards of three-ply yarn and it sat on a shelf in a basket, being added to regularly. Skein after skein.
As time went by, I decided to try dyeing again. It’s been a few years, but I still had all the supplies on the shelf.
I wanted to try a shibori-blue and did space dyeing to give some style. I call it the Yankee Ikat, named after the yarn I used to sell at the Mercantile.
