We washed the stairs and the landing between the first and second floor for spring. (Proper cleaning by the property management is absolutely lacking/non-existent.) We added some vinca vines, a window box with marigolds, and a hanging pot with pansies and a few other little flowering cuties. These should grow and fill in nicely. If the vinca get out of control, they’ll get a trim, and the cuttings rooted for outside in the garden.

UPDATE: Someone poisoned the plants! There was a cup of coffee sitting next to the box, and salt sprinkled everywhere. It had been a few days since we went down the front, and didn’t see it until it was too late. The building only has one tenant on the third floor, and she seems nice and appears to appreciate the efforts. The first floor is the quiet couple in 1R, and the assholes with the barking dogs and loud music below us in 1L. I suspect them.
