On New Year’s morning, 2021, 12 took an early morning drive east on Route 9 over the Calvin Coolidge Bridge from Northampton to Hadley, Massachusetts. Just over the bridge, on the right, is a sharp turnoff to go to the Sportsman’s Marina where a lot of rowing and boating clubs are located. This time of year is especially quiet and beautiful.
