Quilt Math Oops

This post is primarily for me to document this upcoming project. I’ve been  using Electric Quilt for quite a while. I’m not great at it at all, it’s used a few times a year. This Mariner’s Compass has been in the works since EQ3, and we’re on EQ8 now. This one has been made a few times, and I want to do a larger piece.

When printing this, I left the room and went to the kitchen to check on Dusty and give him lunch. I wasn’t paying attention to my settings, and the block printed out to be FORTYFIVE INCHES!!!!! 45″!!!!

I’m not going to waste this and take it as a sign that THIS is what it wants to be when it grows up: An enormous block.

All the pieces were taped together and then cut out.

The whole living room and hallway floor was covered in 55 sheets of paper.

These are some big pattern pieces.

This is in development stages right now, but the direction is sort of in my head. It can go one of two ways… ah, the creative process. At least the pattern is done. Now, to get creative and bring in the fabrics.
