Pony Tails

My all-time favorite plant is the ponytail palm. I had one growing up that lived for many years. It traveled all over with me. When it finally gave out, it was over four feet tall. It was a big ball in a round terra cotta pot. The stem was tall and straight with a large plume of cascading leaves from the top.

These three little ponytails we together in a tiny 2″ pot and were sold as faerie plants at the garden center.  They’re now big enough for their own pots. They’re going to do really well.

This ponytail was in one of the other small pots, shown above. It was also a faerie plant from last year.  It’s now in a round white ceramic pot and I added the cute coins and lucky cat charms on red cord.
