Patches

For the longest time, I’ve collected patches here and there. In all that time, I’ve never never been motivated to use them on anything. Sure, there was that brief time when I *almost* put them on a jean jacket, but it never happened.

Finally, there’s something worthy of the patch collection: my Domke camera bag!

All of the patches had to be hand-sewn, and a glue stick helped to hold thing in place.

Yes, it’s a LOT of patches, and that’s what makes it so cool.

Most of them are from Etsy shops, while others were bought at local shops in the area. The I (heart) Boston patch, above, is the oldest patch and dates back to the 1980’s, and it came from a fun shop in Copley Square. The shop, Copley Flair, is long-gone, but I still have a few cards and things from those days.

The rest of the patches are gay pride, paranormal and cryptid stuff, and silly thing. The buttons are assorted and I lose them on occasion. The fancier pins are held in place with nylon jewelry wire crimped on the inside of the bag to secure them from loss or theft.

If you see this bag while out and about, introduce yourself!
