A Journal for Suzanne

Bryan and I go to all the local Farmer’s Markets all season. We can usually be found at the Amherst Farmer’s Market super early on a summer Saturday morning. Depending on our workload of chores and errands, we can also be found at the Greenfield Farmer’s Market.

Over the three years we’ve been living here, we’ve also gotten friendly with the vendors in the area. Bryan loves making teas and he found a vendor up in Greenfield, Suzanne from Alchemy of Avalon. She started out vending at the farmer’s market and was aiming to open a shop downtown soon.

She finally opened her doors and has a beautiful shop right in downtown Greenfield.

I made her a good luck pocket journal with her name and shop name stamped on it. As a surprise, we dropped it off early one weekday morning while we were driving through town. It was hung on the door to her shop and she got it shortly afterwards.

It’s nice to do random acts of kindness with my skills and talents. It’s just good karma. And, making someone smile is awesome.

I’d say that she really likes it.
